31 Days of Halloween

At monkey farm, we like to explore new technologies and push the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of storytelling.

The newest of technologies that is already disrupting industries and how people work and create is Generative Artificial Intelligence.

Beginning in 2022, we decided to use GAI to produce some Halloween themed artwork. Creating a different piece of work for each of the 31 days of October - and the 31 Days of Halloween was officially born.

A year later and GAI had moved on apace, giving creators the ability to bring images to life with the first, rudimentary steps in video creation.

Utilizing this new stage of the technology, the second iteration of the '31 Days...' was the generation of a different animated image for each of the days of October.

Cut to October 2024 and the world of GAI is already exponentially advanced to the point that we have been able to move beyond simple images and animations to the creation of music videos and animated stories.

A series of shorts and micro-shorts created using the technologies currently available in what will hopefully become an annual tradition.
